fishers green fishing stuff - not much here yet
I was a member from the early 70s, when there were no-one else but 'us' on the venue. No made-up tarmac roads, just rutted tracks made even worse by the lorries heading for the Bailey bridge to discharge their wares into the land-fill; when you would only fish the near bank; where you could park wherever; where you would fish before the Bailey bridge where there was a hole eroded by the outpouring from the pit before there was a 'Power sub-station'; where you fretted for weeks until your permit came through just in case the post had 'lost' it; where there were shoals of roach for those gifted in the art (not I alas). Glorious days.
